Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews
Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Star Trek: Voyager Season 2 Episode 4 "Elogium" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Voyager encounters a bunch of space aliens that see Voyager as a potential mate. And this someone cause Kes to prematurely go into a Ocampan phase where she can gives birth and it only comes once in a lifetime so Neelix and Kes debate whether they should have a child. But in the end it doesn't matter because they find out because this was brought on artificailly they know she will experience a real one later so who cares. Oh and Tuvok tells Janeway that they lost their sex appeal. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis

Star Trek: Voyager Season 2 Episode 3 "Projections" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode that starts out good with an intriguing scenario where the Doctor wakes up alone and the ship seems abandoned until he finds B'elanna, Janeway and Neelix are the only ones left on the ship the rest of the crew were forced to abandon ship and then captured by the Kazon. A promising story but then it starts going down hill when Barclay appears and tells the doctor he's a real person and everyone else on Voyager is a hologram something we KNOW isn't the case, and the rest of the episode is just them arguing back and forth on whether or not he's a real person and then we get a stupid fake out ending that ruins the whole episode. Star Trek: Voyager Season 2 Episode 2 "Initiations" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Nog appears as a Kazon. I mean it's Aaron Eisenberg the actor who plays Nog, playing a Kazon, but you can't hear his voice without hearing Nog. And he's every bit as annoying as Nog and then some. And we delve deeper into Kazon culture and that's just as boring as it sounds, as the Kazon are just budget Klingons. So the episode is mostly a waste of time. Star Trek: Voyager Season 2 Episode 1 "The 37's" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Janeway meets Emilia Earhart, in a TOS style episode where we learn that aliens travelled the vast distance of the galaxy just so they could gather up slave labor, like they couldn't find any closer. Anyway among the humans abducted by aliens from Earth in 1937 is Emilia Earhart who is still in stasis which Voyager revised. But there's not enough plot for that, so they also introduce a whole human society on this planet and the Voyager crew is invited to stay. Janeway leaves it up for every crew member to decide for themselves and in one of the most unrealistic moments of the entire show NO ONE decides to stay. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season 3 Episode 25 "Facets" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Jadzia under goes a Trill ritual to meet Dax's past hosts. It's an interesting character exploration for Dax and it gives the other actors a chance to play different characters, but the main story line with Odo and Curzon becoming their own joined person was a really interesting character exploration of both Curzon and Odo. Even if the twist ending is a bit silly. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis

Star Trek: Voyager Season 1 Episode 13 "Faces" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Tuvok behaves like gym teacher to a group of misfit Marquis and makes them run laps around the ship. Look, I like the idea of the show exploring the pains of integrating the Marquis into the Starfleet crew, but this should have been done at the start of the season not the end of it. And this is the total wrong way to do it, as it doesn't make sense that the way to try to get these untrained Marquis to feel like part of the crew and to get them familar with Starfleet regulations is for Tuvok to treat them like trash and make them run laps around the ship. Not to mention the bad acting and poorly written dialogue that plagues this episode. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season 3 Episode 24 "Family Business" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where we meet Shakaar the handsome leader of Kira's Resistance Cell who definitely is NOT a candle ghost. He was okay, I think it's a bit ridiculous that her cell was named after a person but whatever. This episode is more interesting for it's portrayal of Kai Winn trying to seize power as Bajor's First Minister and that she nearly starts a civil war over the fact that she doesn't want her power challenged, it's true to Winn's character and makes great commentary.
