Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews
Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I countdown all 23 episodes of Season 6 and rank in them in order from my least favorite to my favorite. Which episodes will be in my Top 10 best? Which ones will I consider the worst of the season? Season 6 had episodes like "Relics", "A Fistful of Datas", "Chain of Command", "Face of the Enemy", and "Timescape" so where will I rank them?

Join me as I review and recap this disjointed two parter that is yet another example of TNG having a pretty good part 1 followed up by a massive disappointment that doesn't deliver. In this case though Part 2 was set up to fail because there was too much that couldn't be resolved in just one episode, so part 2 didn't really try and just had Lore dicking around with experiments or something.

Join me as I review and recap the season 1 finale where a Bajoran Vedek who only wants power comes to the station to play political gains aimed at assassinating her political rival. We get to see how far the Starfleet and Bajoran crews have come working together, and how the station can withstand this attempt at division. And we get a nice analogy to the argument against evolution being taught in schools.

Join me as I cover an eerie, mind binding adventure as Picard, and his away team must deal with an Enterprise frozen in time in the middle of a battle of the Romulans. This is one of the most intriguing and unique uses of time manipulation in the Star Trek franchise.

Join me as I cover an absolute masterpiece. As it uses the metaphor of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor to make commentary on bigotry, genocide, suffering, and guilt. This is a power house in acting and writing as two people square off against each other in a battle of wits that's truly stunning.

Join me as I review and recap this episode were tensions between the Bajorans and the Starfleet officers on the station final come to a head and brake out into in all out mutiny, but don't worry it's actually fake stakes because the mutiny is just caused by some telepathic virus or something, so none of the in fighting really matters because it's not really our characters doing it, luckily for these telepathic aliens they just so happened to already be a situation with two sides trying to work together with some friction. But it's a good episode for Odo as he's the only one not effected and so it's up to him to save the station, and he does a pretty good job at manipulating others to accomplish that goal. Plus Avery Brooks gets to ham up the place and chew all the scenery in spectacular fashion so that's always a plus.

Join me as I review and recap the first appearance of Lwaxana Troi on Deep Space Nine, a place that she has no business being. This episode is just "Manhunt" light, as Lwaxana tries to force herself on a man who clearly isn't interested in her. And on top of that we get the ol' trapped in an elevator cliche, an overused sitcom trope that was never funny to begin with. And on top of this we get an even worse subplot of these 3 cartoon caricatures as Ambassadors that annoy the hell out of Julian and the audience as well.

Join me as I review and recap the episode we meet Commander Riker's transporter duplicate: Lieutenant Tom. It's an okay episode where we see Troi reconnect with a Riker that never fell out of love with her, and dealing with the complexities of that, but Will is a bit of a dick to his duplicate which is annoying.

Join me as I review and recap the episode that I'm calling #14 in my Top 25 Worst Episodes of Star Trek. This is a silly episode that is not at all fun, or funny that rips off the plot of everyone's imagination coming to life from "Where No One Has Gone Before" but does it much worse. The rules are inconsistent, the aliens motivations for doing this don't make any sense. We get a 10 minute scene of straight technobabble that ends up being meaningless because it was all in their imaginations anyway. The whole thing is just a giant and annoying waste of time.
