Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews

Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I cover this great dramatic piece that humanizes the Borg, as the Enterprise discovers a lone adolescent Borg and Picard wants to use him to commit genocide against the Borg, but Geordi makes friends with the Borg, gives him a name: Hugh, and some of the other crew including Guinan makes friends with him and convinces Picard to help him. A great drama piece that always brings a tear to my eye.

Join me as I review and recap silly and widely disliked episode about an alien impersonating a little girl's imaginary friend. It was a somewhat interesting concept and you get a great guest character and a rare good child actor, but the plot takes when the "must have" threat of the week kicks in that just comes off as silly.

Join me as I review and recap this somewhat sexist episode, where a hot chick is bred from birth to live her whole life just to service old men in order to make peace treaties, and Doctor Crusher is the only one who has the guts to point out how screwed up this is. But because we need a plot, she has the hots for Picard and attaches herself to him yawn

Join me as I review and recap this generally hated episode that actually not that bad, it's actually kind of funny. I'm not a fan of Lwaxana Troi but this is actually a kind of good character story for her, certainly not as bad as some of her other appearances, actually kind of a fun episode.

Join me as I review and recap the best Wesley Crusher episode in the show, as it really humanizes his character, where he comes off as dynamic instead of a Mary Sue who always saves the day. It's a great character drama, the asks hard questions about duty and loyalty, and we also get an amazing Picard speech which is always a plus.

Join me as I review and recap this well loved episode, that I do really like but maybe not as much as everyone else does. It's a trail blazing episode for the Time Loop genre that predates even "Groundhog's Day" and it does some interesting and clever things, but can drag at times and it ended 10 minutes too early.

Join me as I cover the episode that attempts to make commentary on Homosexual discrimination, however many believe it falls short because it refused to actually show a same sex couple on screen, and it's analogy applies more to the Transgender community, yet it's clear the episode itself is unaware of this. And the story itself is boring and typical as it portrays a boring romance of the week that you do not buy and a throw away B plot anomaly BS that nobody cares about, making it over all a subpar episode.

Join me as I review and recap this boring episode where Worf loses in honorable combat against a barrel, and an eeeeeeeevil doctor comes onboard twirls her moustache and offers a miracle cure while killing random people in order to further her research. And Worf is acting really prideful and selfish and not considering his son and Picard enables him.

Join me as I review and recap this overrated episode which ends up being the typical "aliens taking over main character's bodies" storyline, but turned into a hostage situation. And while there are some intense and suspenseful moments in the episode, it ultimately come off as dull, and misses several opportunities to be more interesting.
