Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews

Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me and Phil the Issues Guy as we cover number 11 on my Top 25 episodes of the entire Star Trek franchise: The 3rd season TNG episode "The Offspring" where Data creates a daughter and then has to fight for his right as a parent.

Join me as we meet the Trill before their retconed in Deep Space Nine (so essentially not the same species) where we get a paper thin, boring romance of the week story with Cruasher, which becomes weird when the parasite is moved to Riker's body.

Join me as I cover the episode where Lwaxana falls in love with someone WHO ACTUALLY LOVES HER BACK! For once, God dammit. Oh and he's going to be killed by his homeward just for reaching the age of 60. Like Logan's Run, but their age limit is doubled.

Join me as I cover the classic trial episode where Picard gives a magnificent speech and the episode makes a strong statement against McCarthyism, which by the way is conservative. In other words this is an anti-conservative episode, clearly, objectively.

Join me as I cover the Robin Hood episode, where Q sees Picard having romance troubles with Vash and so whisks away the senior staff into a Robin Hood Fantasy to prove to Picard love is more trouble than its worth.

Join me as I cover the episode where Barclay becomes super smart and connects to the ships computer and flies the ship to the center of the galaxy to meet some LAZY ASS aliens that are too lazy to go exploring and so forces others to come to them.

Join me as I cover the body horror episode where Geordi turns into a lizzard. It revolves around a guest character we don't care about, and has that one scene where Geordi uses to investigate what's going on that's not nearly as good as everyone says it is.

Join me as I cover the creepy episode where the crew starts to lose their minds. Not the best episode ever but it is kind of one of the best horror episodes of the show.

Join me as I cover the episode where Geordi is super creepy and then gas lights his co-worker when she calls him out on being creepy. And then there's a story about some baby space sea horses that think the Enterprise is their mother, that's actually kind of interesting much more so than the deep fake sexual harassment story line anyway.

Join me as I cover the episode, not the movie, First Contact, where gives us the perspective of a pre-warp alien civilization where a first contact mission by the Enterprise goes awry putting Riker's life in danger. The gimmick doesn't really work for me, as I don't really feel invested in what happens to these characters.
