Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews

Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season 4 Episode 25 "Broken Link" explained. Join me as I review and recap the 4th season finale, and in my opinion the weakest season finale in the show. Not that it's terrible, it's fine, but not really deserving of being a finale. There are some good character moments and the twist ending was great, but let's face it most of the episode is Odo lying in bed being grumpy not really the stuff finales are made of. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis

Body Parts Season 4 Episode 24

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season 4 Episode 24 "Body Parts" explained. Join me as I review and recap where Quark is told he is going to die so he tries to sell his remains to the highest bidder, but when he discovers he's not going to die, it turns out it was all a ruse by Brunt to force Quark to either kill himself or break a contract that would result in his exile from Ferengi culture. After much self reflection Quark decides on the latter and his friends come to his aid. Also this is the episode where Kieko's baby is beamed into Kira so they can account for why Nana Visitor is pregnant. An overall better episode than I expected it to be, as Brunt actually comes off as intimidating in this episode and the moral decision Quark must make is a good character story. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis

Star Trek: Voyager Season 2 Episode 25 "Resolutions" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Janeway and Chakotay get stranded on a planet with a disease that would kill them if they leave the planet. They meet a monkey and fall in love, sort of. Meanwhile Tuvok takes command of Voyager and is a dick to Harry Kim who is acting insubordinate which is out of character for him (it's not out of character for Tom Paris though, I'm not saying, I'm just saying). Even though I was completely against the premise of this episode on principle; how Hollywood also have to smash a male and female lead together, it works surprisingly well in this episode and turns out out to be quite touching. And the ending where Janeway and Chakotay have to go back to their standard professional relationship is tragic. Plus I love the continuity of seeing the Doctor's girlfriend again so all and all a pretty strong episode. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season 4 Episode 21 "For the Cause" explained. Join me as I review and recap where its suspected that Sisko's girlfriend Kasidy is smuggling supplies to the Maquis which creates an interesting conflict of interest for Sisko. However the big twist comes when its revealing this is all a ruse to distract Sisko while the REAL spy steals industrial replicators meant for Cardassia. It's an interesting spy thriller with some good characters moments though I do think it works better in retrospect because I don't think Sisko and Kasidy's relationship had been quite earned at this point, but still an effective episode. Come see my first reaction as I breakdown the episode and attempt to give my in depth analysis
