Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews
Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I cover the episode that introduces us to well known Trek writer Ronald D. Moore, in a script with some strong character moments but that is ultimately undone by the fact that Worf's bond with Jeremy is never mentioned ever again rendering the episode kind of pointless.

Join me as I cover one of the most infamous prime directive episodes of Trek, and the episode well known for having an anti-religious message, however I explore the nuances of that and how this episode is a little misunderstood.

Join me as I cover one of my favorite and most underrated episodes of the show where Picard is a bad ass as he slowly starts to unravel the mystery on why there are only two human survivors on a planet that was wiped out by hostile aliens. Which features a horrific notion of Troi having music stuck in her head that plays repeatedly with perfect clarity non-stop. It is one of the most engaging and successful mystery stories of the whole franchise.

Join me as I cover the episodes where Data goes to a human colony full of idiots who'd rather die than leave, and don't seem to comprehend the danger their in, and I wish I could say this was unrealistic. There's a romance subplot with Data that unfortunately doesn't go all the way, would have been better if it did, but Picard as a bad ass moment with diplomacy that's really cool.

Join me as we finally get to the good seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Doctor Crusher returns, the cinematography and visual effects improve, the costumes look much better, but most of all the writing improves. But we kick it off with a fairly mediocre episode where Wesley messes up and puts the ship in danger for a change, but still manages to be a boy genius Mary Sue by creating an entire civilization from a school project.

Join me as I countdown all 22 episodes of Season 2 and rank in them in order from my least favorite to my favorite. Which episodes will be in my Top 10 best? Which ones will I consider the worst of the season? Season 2 had episodes like "Q Who?", "The Measure of a Man", "The Outrageous Okona", "Pen Pals", and "Contagion" so where will I rank them?

Join me as I cover the horrible clip show episode, that's not just bad because it's a clip show, it's a bad clip show, as in there are many clip show episodes that are better than this one. I discuss how people wrongly try to let this episode off the hook for excuses like that and low budget, but not me, I show no mercy to this episode because I believe there are no excuses as to why it's that bad.

Join me, Alyssa, and Darrin as we discuss and breakdown my number 16 in my top 25 episodes of Star Trek, the 3rd season TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" where the time line gets screwed up and Shooter McGavin shows up to have a romance with Tasha Yar who's alive again, but finds out she shouldn't be.

Join me as I cover the battle games episode where the whole episode is building up to this battle simulation between Riker and Picard and then when we finally get there it's over in 2 minutes. However it's still a decent character story, mainly for Data who deals with his own inadequacy after losing a game he shouldn't have lost, which is actually quite good.

Join me for an episode that is NOT the pilot episode of DS9, rather it's the TNG episode in which K'Ehyler makes her first appearance, in one of the better episodes of Season 2, and one of the best romance of the week episodes of the franchise, as it's a great eye opening character story for Worf.
