Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews

Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I cover the episode where Wesley has his first romance, but then he turns into a bigot when he finds out she's a shape shifter.

Join me as I cover the episode where Riker goes on an exchange mission on a Klingon ship. One of the first episodes to really explore Klingon culture and it was quite the character episode too, as we get his reaction to being on Klingon ship. But there's a lot of season 2 cheese in this episode when the Klingon Captain acts like a complete and total moron when he accuses the Enterprise of trying to destroy them when it's very clearly not the case.

Join me as I cover the one where Pulaski grows old very faster because she was dumb enough to believe the crazy scientists who said there was nothing wrong with the genetical engineered children who look like they're in their twenties. But surprise, surprise they were actually responsible for the disease in the first place. But not to way Picard can save the day with Transporter magic. Makes one wonder why they don't use the transporter to de-age people all the time.

Join me as I cover the boring episode where Data meets a man who refers to himself as Data's Grandfather who is a total dick, but he's going to die soon anyway so no bigger. But he tries to cheat death by transferring his consciousness into Data and stealing his body and the crew takes waaaaaaay too long to figure out that Graves took over Data's body when IT'S SO OBVIOUS!

Join me as I cover the episode where a well renown mediator comes on the Enterprise Riva, who happens to be deaf, and he has a telepathic chorus that reads his mind and speaks for him, and he thinks his shit smells like flowers and is extremely arrogant and thinks he can create peace between to violent warring factions, but instead he gets his chorus killed, and Troi has to guilt him into actually continuing with the mission. And then he tells the Enterprise to just leave him on a wide open, uncovered hill top where he will surely freeze to death.

Join me as I cover the dumb episode where the handsome rogue comes onboard and all the women want to sleep with him and all the men want to be him *yawn*.  Then two warring factions come and demand the enterprise to turn him over to him, and bla bla bla. And there's a dumb side plot of Data going to Joe Piscopo to learn how to be funny. The 80's cheese is STRONG with this episode.

Join me as I cover the Sherlock Holmes Holodeck adventure, where surprise, surprise, the holodeck malfunctions and the safeties go offline proving once again that the holodeck is a death trap. This episode is okay, a bit overrated, as it kind of just peters out at the end. And the premise of how Moriarty became sentient is far fetched to say the least. But it's alright.

Join me as I cover this eerie and creepy episode where it turns out the Enterprise is stuck in a lab experiment of a superior being who uses his powers to toy with them. Until they figure it out and then he threatens to kill half the crew. I quite like this one, and I think it's effective suspenseful.
