Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews
Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I cover the first Klingon episode of TNG which isn't bad, but barely holds up to later Klingon episodes, and it's clear the hadn't yet established how Klingon culture is in the 24th Century, but it does help set the stage for what is to come.

Join me as I cover the boring episode where Wesley takes an extremely impractical and unrealistic Starfleet Academy exam, and a commander comes on the Enterprise with the sole purpose of being a dick.

Join me as I cover the episode that might as well been called "The Devil in the sand" because it's just a retelling of the TOS episode "The Devil in the Dark" and like "The Naked Now" before it, it's just a pale shadow of the episode it's emulating.

Join me, Alyssa and Darrin as we cover #20 in my Top 25 episodes of Star Trek, the first season Strange New Worlds episode "A Quality of Mercy". The only episode in my Top 25 from modern Star Trek, this episode is an instant classic in my opinion and I don't need to wait 30 years to tell this is one of the best episodes of Trek, as it's an emotional thrill ride that deals with an alternate timeline, playing homage to a classic Trek episode, and resolving a season long story arc in a very powerful way.

Join me as I cover the episode that features Wesley and he's not actually annoying because for once he's not a Mary Sue. But other than that he episode is rather boring and forgettable.

Join me as I cover the episode that decides to focus entirely on a guest star with terrible old man make up and a wheel chair prop that could barely move without falling apart, and this character is not very interesting and the actor is not very good, and something, something Iran-Contra Affair.

Join me as I cover the episode where we meet the Bynars, and they hijack the Enterprise, and distract Riker and Picard with a hot hologram. And they do this to save their dying planet, instead of simply asking for Starfleet help. And the reason they state for not asking Starfleet is that they couldn't risk them saying no, yet their stupid plan to hijack the ship is far riskier than simply asking them for help, but whatever.

Join me as I cover the episode where they encounter a female dominated society, in an episode that tries to make an allegory to discrimination based on sex and it does a terrible job at it. Riker has an affair with a world leader that their currently in negations with and this is seen as okay. I don't know, this episode is boring.

Join me as I cover the introduction of Lore: the evil twin stereotype come to life. And in this episode Lore impersonates Data and does a terrible job at it, so everyone should instant figure it out, yet nobody does except Wesley. So I guess Wesley's the only one on the ship who isn't a complete moron. But Picard does tell Wesley to shut up in this episode, that's very satisfying.

Join me as I cover the episode where the whole trapped in a holodeck cliche begins. And boy howdy is this episode chock full of plot contrivances. I will never buy that this entertainment machine can turn into a death trap just because one system malfunctions.
