Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews
Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I cover this okay episode that expanded the lore with a bunch of established aliens, and it introduced the interstellar library that the main Star Trek Wiki will name itself after: Memory Alpha. But the main plot with some lights going around killing people and wanting to take over a young lieutenant's body is kind of boring. Plus Scotty is crushing on the young lieutenant in a very creepy way. But despite that I thought the episode was quite interesting and scary, until the last 20 minutes which is a giant bore as it just shows the young lieutenant floating around in a laundry machine for an hour.

Join me as I cover this boring episode a planet that's over populated, where people are literally standing on top of each other, yet somehow they're able to contruct an exact duplicate of the Enterprise that's completely empty, and beam Kirk to it to tick him into thinking he never left the Enterprise and everyone disappeared. It's a boring episode with annoying bureaucrats but it is kind of satisfying when Spock tells them to shove it.

Join me as I cover this criminally underrated episode about an underrated criminal. Loooooord Garth, master of the universe, a former starfleet captain who is not quite sane anymore and takes over the asylum and holds Kirk and Spock hostage in an attempt to take over the Enterprise with his shape shifting abilities. He's a villain who is better than Khan (you head me!) and with an Orion side kick who's acting beautifully. All in all an engaging and intense episode.

Join me as I cover this classic episode that has a not so subtle message about the dangers of racism. But still it does really work as a powerful message on the futilities of hate, and it has a classic scene where Kirk would sets a self destruct because he'd rather blow up the ship than lose control of it, so classic episode.

Join me as I cover this episode that I was thought was alright, despite the fact everyone else seems to hate it. We get Sulu on the main away team, so that's interesting. And the main plot of an automated secuirty system creating an image of the last survivor of their species to kill anyone who comes close, was fascinating and engaging. Although Spock is totally out of character in this episode and acts like an obtuse dick while in command, but still not a bad episode

Join me as I cover this interesting sci fi concept episode where the Enterprise comes under attack by aliens that move at an excelrated rate, so much so they can't be seen. They excelrate Kirk so that he can live in their time frame, and of course, of course a hot chick there makes out with him. But it was an interesting enough concept. The motivation of the aliens don't make a ton of sense, but still a good enough episode.

Join me as I cover this episode that is not so good, where sociopathic aliens with telekinetic powers torture Kirk and Spock and ridiculous and boring ways for nearly the whole run of the episode, yawn. But it does feature one of the first interracial kisses on television so there is that.

Join me, Alyssa from Alyssa Jean Reviews, and Darrin from D's Reviews at we go in depth and breakdown #23 on my top 25 list of favorite episodes in all of Star Trek; the Voyager episode "Timeless". While testing a new engine designed to get them home Voyager crashes and the crew dies, save for Harry Kim and Chakotay who make it home, and in the future they strive to change the past so that Voyager is never destroyed.

Join me as I cover one of the most classic Klingon episodes, where the Klingons actually behave like Klingons, where a group of Klingons come onboard the Enterprise and a strong alien entity that feeds off of violence tries to fuel a battle between Starfleet and the Klingons that could last for eternity, in a powerful metaphor about the futility of war.

Join me as I cover the McCoy romance, that's actually not that bad. I mean he does have a year left to live which is just plot convince, and promptly reversed by the end of the episode, so there's that. But I found the story of a people on a moving asteroid that's really a ship on a collision course that they think is a planet actually pretty interesting even if it does feature a typical cliche evil super computer.
