Enchantment of Eternity’s Star Trek Episode Reviews

Welcome to Enchantment of Eternity. I’m Marc, and I’m on a mission to analyze every episode of the Star Trek Franchise. I started with The Original Series, and then moved on to The Next Generation, and now I’m covering Deep Space Nine and Voyager in order of airdate. It’s my mission statement to always give my honest opinion on each and every episode regardless of what the popular opinion is, so sometimes I have some hot takes. I prefer character based stories. I try to analyze the writing, acting, cinematography, and music of each episode, with emphasis on the writing. I explore themes and commentaries on the episode and give my opinion on whether or not it works, as well as explore some behind the scenes tidbits and trivia, and share my personal experience with the episode. We also hear from my patreon supporters and what they think of the episode. So check me out and give it a listen.

Join me as I cover this infamously bad episode that starts out fairly good, with a really creepy horroresque feel, but then goes very quickly downhill once they introduce the terrible yangs and coms story line.

Join me as I cover the very obvious analogy to machines taking over jobs as a machine takes over Kirk's job. The other captains in Starfleet do a test battle against the Enterprise which the M5 machine is control of and then they seem to have a brain aneurysm or something because they suddenly and inexplicably forget that a machine is in charge of the Enterprise and blame Kirk instead. Maybe alien mind wiped them and made them all dumb, I don't know. But actually it's a fairly decent episode.

Join me as I cover the Nazi episode of Star Trek. That's right Kirk and Spock go to a planet where there are Nazis. The excuse for this ridiculous plot line is that an historian from Earth was visiting this alien planet under cover and this GENIUS thought it would be a great idea to introduce Nazi Germany ideals to these aliens to model themselves off of because they were very efficient. And then this genius is shocked when these aliens that turn into Nazis start a holy war and a holocaust against a neighboring alien race. How stupid is this moron?

Join me as I cover this somewhat boring episode where Kirk thinks its a great idea to let powerful though aliens take over the bodies of the most senior officers on the ship, so that the Federation can get an unearned bump in technology that they would never allow other races to get because of the prime directive. hypocrites.

Join me as I cover this very underrated episode about aliens from another galaxy conquering the Enterprise and turning most of the crew into cubes. It's very intense and dire and one of the most suspenseful episodes of the show.

Join me as I cover this overrated episode that many people find funny, I find it mildly amusing but mostly boring and silly. Here Kirk and crew travel to a far off planet that is exactly like 1920's mafia run Chicago, and they ham up all the stereotypical mob movie cliches, oh boy.

Join me as I cover this terrible episode about an absolutely absurd idea of a giant ameba eating the galaxy. But it's mostly boring with Spock and McCoy arguing over who gets to sacrifice themselves. A absolute yawn fest.

Join me as I cover this boring episode of Kirk getting all Ahab about some gas monster that killed some people he knew years ago. It felt completely unearned and I was completely disengaged from the plot.

Join me as I cover this popcorn fight arena of an episode, that's kind of just doing what Arena already did. But Kirk hits on his fight instructor because of course he does
